Wake up to panoramic forest views, unwind in your private hot tub, enjoy an evening around the fire pit, or settle in for a cozy movie night after a day exploring Mohican and the surrounding Amish countryside.

YOUR PRIVATE GLAMPING RETREAT

Open year-round with heating and air conditioning, the dome sleep up to 8 guests (4 guests each) and offer the following amenities:

Mohican Hideaway offers a wonderful home base for exploring the natural beauty of Mohican and the surrounding Amish countryside.

Spend your days hiking through Mohican State Park, canoeing or kayaking along the Mohican River, or exploring the area's scenic country roads and outdoor attractions.

Looking for a more relaxed afternoon? Visit local wineries, enjoy dinner at The Copper Mug at Landoll's Mohican Castle, or take a scenic day trip through Ohio's Amish Country to explore local shops, bakeries, markets, and traditional country stores.

The Bridge of Dreams and Mohican Valley Trail are located approximately 1.6 miles from the property, offering additional opportunities for walking, biking, and sightseeing.

For those looking for more outdoor adventure, the Loudonville area offers numerous canoe, kayak, and tubing outfitters along the Mohican River.

After a day of exploring, return to Eclipse for an evening in your private hot tub, a cozy movie night, or dinner around the outdoor fire pit.

ENJOY THE MOHICAN RIVER

Mohican Hideaway is situated on 7 acres with direct access to the Mohican River.

The riverfront is approximately 200–300 feet from Eclipse, just a short walk through the property. The dome itself is not located directly on the riverbank.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the riverfront area and our kayak/canoe landing.

Greer Landing is approximately a 7–10 minute drive from Mohican Hideaway and offers a convenient starting point for floating down the river and returning to our property.

Approximate floating times from Greer Landing:

• Kayak/Canoe: 1–1.5 hours

• Tubing: 3–3.5 hours

Floating times vary depending on water levels and river conditions. Guests are responsible for arranging their own equipment and transportation.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY OUTDOOR FUN

Traveling with little ones? Mohican Hideaway features an outdoor playground where children can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful natural surroundings.

Our playground includes:

• Wooden playset with swings and multiple slides

• Climbing and playhouse areas

• Thick rubber mulch surfacing beneath the playset

• Spacious grassy areas for outdoor play

The playground is located in a shared area of our 7-acre property and is available to guests staying in either dome.

Children must be supervised by an adult while using the playground.

THE MOHICAN HIDEAWAY PROPERTY

Our 7-acre property features two large fields, wooded areas, and riverfront access, giving guests plenty of space to explore and enjoy nature.

Our domes are located approximately 100 feet away from each other, with a privacy fence separating the outdoor living areas.

Each dome has its own private amenities:

• Hot tub

• Furnished patio and outdoor seating

• Fire pit

• Pellet smoker/grill

The paved parking area, laundry center, pathways, playground, riverfront access, woods, and fields are shared between guests staying in the two domes.

SHARED LAUNDRY CENTER

Guests have access to our shared laundry center, equipped with a washer, dryer, folding table, clothes rack for wet clothing, and outdoor spigot with hose.

PARKING: A small paved area is available to park up to 4 vehicles. Please note the driveway is steep.

PATHWAY:

The dome is located a short walk from the parking area (approx. 350 ft) and has a slight decline at the end of the pathway toward the dome. Please Bring appropriate shoes for the weather (rain, snow, etc.).

We are available via phone or messaging in the app. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival.

DRIVING & RURAL ROAD CONDITIONS

Mohican Hideaway is nestled in the scenic Ohio countryside. The route to our property includes winding country roads, with approximately the last ½ mile consisting of unpaved roads.

Our driveway is steep, so please use caution when entering and exiting the property, particularly during rain, snow, or icy conditions.

WINTER WEATHER & SNOW REMOVAL

Our domes are open year-round, offering a cozy getaway during every season!

During winter weather, the surrounding rural roads and our steep driveway may become snow-covered or icy. We have a dedicated contractor who handles snow removal and salting of our driveway as weather conditions require.

A 4-wheel-drive (4x4) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle is recommended when traveling to the property during winter weather, particularly when snow or ice is expected.

While we work to maintain access to the property, road and driveway conditions can vary during active winter storms. We recommend checking the weather forecast before traveling, allowing extra travel time, and using a vehicle suitable for the conditions.

CELL PHONE SERVICE & WI-FI

Cell phone service may be sporadic while traveling through the surrounding countryside.

Service is available on the property through select carriers, although signal strength and coverage may vary.

Stargazer is equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi for guests to use during their stay.

ACCESSIBILITY & PATHWAY

Domes are located located approximately 200+ feet from the shared paved parking area.

The outdoor pathway has a slight decline as you approach the dome and may be wet, slippery, or uneven depending on weather conditions.

We recommend bringing appropriate footwear, especially during rain, snow, or icy conditions.

Please also note the following steps and access requirements:

• Dome entrance: 1 step

• Bathroom entrance: 1 small step

• Hot tub: 2 steps to access, followed by a step over the side of the hot tub

The following amenities are located on the ground level:

• Queen bed

• Private bathroom with shower

• Kitchenette

• Dining area

• Pantry

• Desk/workspace

All interior areas except the loft are located on the ground level.

LOFT & SECOND SLEEPING AREA

The additional double bed is located in the loft above the main living area.

The loft is accessible by a permanent ladder with 7 rungs, approximately 8 feet high.

Guests using the loft must be physically able and comfortable climbing the ladder.

The queen bed and bathroom are located on the ground level for guests who prefer not to use the loft.

FIREWOOD

Firewood availability on the property is not guaranteed.

Guests are welcome to bring their own firewood or purchase it locally. Firewood is typically available at the BP gas station in Danville along US-62, subject to availability.

SEVERE WEATHER

Our domes feature a reinforced geodesic frame that is securely anchored to its concrete foundation.

Although the dome is designed to withstand demanding weather conditions, guests should always monitor local weather alerts and follow instructions issued by local emergency authorities.

In the event of severe weather, please follow the emergency and shelter instructions provided at the property. If authorities issue an evacuation order, follow their directions.

For severe thunderstorms or tornado warnings, seek appropriate shelter immediately. The dome is not a designated tornado shelter.
